We provide barn and pasture boarding. For boarding we have eleven stalls in our main barn, three stalls in our small field barn. Five grass pastures, and one dry paddock.
We offer services in starting horses under saddle, correcting behavior issues, developing relaxation and connection, and basic dressage. Methods are suitable for horses of all disciplines. Short term training options are available for specific challenges.
Whether you have your own horse or would like to work with one of ours, we offer lessons for all ages and abilities. Lessons are tailored to the individual goals and skill levels of the student. Let us help you improve all aspects of horsemanship and riding or address specific challenges with techniques that build confidence, clarity and partnership.
Horses can help us become more grounded, centered, and calm. Through relationship with them we can create a space of healing, learning, and growing. Equine assisted therapy is a team approach between therapist, equine specialist, horse and client that allows for new possibilities through experiential approaches that go beyond traditional talk therapy. Whether you are a therapist interested in partnering to offer this service to clients or an individual who would like to participate, we offer services that can help with conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, PTSD and much more.
These classes blend yoga and horsemanship to facilitate a deeper connection and a clear channel of energy between horse and human. Combining traditional yoga practice with activities both on and off the horse, you will experience how breath, body awareness, and mindful touch affect our interactions with horses. By responding to feedback from the horse, we become more centered, relaxed, and attuned in mind and body.
Yin Horsemanship is a collaboration between Heart Centered Horsemanship and equine bodyworker Deb D’Amato, offers several clinics throughout the year as well as private sessions by appointment. Combining myofascial release and other forms of bodywork with groundwork and riding, Yin Horsemanship creates a soft, fluid connection between horse and human by releasing tension and facilitating the free flow of movement and energy through the body. These techniques feel good to the horse and promote stronger connection and trust, improving both relationship and performance.
